After much designing...

Played around a little bit and I'm rather happy with the way the blog is looking right now! I may still use my own images for the background and such like, but until I get the sizes right this will do for now.

Today has been rather productive; I have finally downloaded a trial for Photoshop CC with a look to subscribing it in the next month or so. I used my first day wisely and gathered together all my photographs from past visits and shoots that I may want to use for my new venture, and put a copyright notice on each and every one of them! Didn't even take that long thanks to Photoshop Actions. Most of them have been taken with my phone but I think they should print out rather well regardless of resizing for whatever reason. The idea is to hopefully get my printer hooked up and working with my laptop tomorrow, and get some photo paper bought so I can test the images I have decided to work on.
I have also bought a loom and bands (I know, I'm not 8 but I just HAD to have a go!) I have made 6 rather lovely loom band bracelets, 2 for me and others for friends and family, take a peek!

Also, I have a Pinterest account, an Instagram, a Facebook and I'm in the process of setting up an Etsy shop too. You'll find all my contact details in my profile :)

So I hope you guys are liking the new blog design, please feel free to comment and add me on my other various accounts. I shall let you know of my progress tomorrow!

Welcome!

Welcome to my first ever blog post on my new hobby, crafting!

A bit about me to start. I have a foundation degree in photography which I haven't used for a while. I took a picture of a rose I bought my mum a while ago, and a friend said it would make a good greetings card. This comment stayed with me, and I mentioned it to my friend Becca. She had started making her own jewellery and hand stitched bags a few months ago and said making cards would be a great way to get back into using the photographs I have taken over the years. She is currently in the process of making various accounts on the social media sites, and encouraged me to share her enthusiasm and get making! So I have been steadily collecting supplies (and pins on Pinterest!) over the last couple of weeks and decided to make this blog to record my thoughts, inspirations and final designs throughout my new venture.

Please bare with the blog right now, I am currently re-designing it so can be a bit more unique!
